Dana Marston, LMSW
Dana Marston is a Licensed Master Social Worker with over 10 years of experience supporting children and families in schools. She specializes in helping with challenges like ADHD, anxiety, autism, depression, and more. Dana uses proven methods like Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT), Applied Behavioral Analysis (ABA), and mindfulness techniques to help clients feel understood and supported. Her mantra is “you are enough,” “you got this,” or “you are stronger than you think”—a reminder to her clients that they have the strength to overcome challenges.
Dana earned her Master of Social Work from Sacred Heart University, where she focused on Direct Clinical Practice. She also holds a Bachelor’s degree in Liberal Arts & Sciences from Southern Connecticut State University, with a focus on Public Health and Wellness. These educational foundations guide her client-centered approach to therapy.
Over the years, Dana has worked with a variety of people, from children to adults, including teenagers, young adults, and college students. She’s experienced in helping with behavioral issues, peer relationships, grief, school struggles, and more. Dana also works closely with families to help students with Individualized Education Plans (IEPs) and 504 accommodations so they can succeed both in school and emotionally.
What sets Dana apart is her approach that focuses on strengths. She believes in empowering her clients by highlighting their abilities and helping them reach their goals. Whether it’s helping a child manage anxiety, guiding a teenager through stress, or supporting a college student with academics, Dana tailors her work to each individual’s needs.
Outside of work, Dana enjoys spending time with family and friends, spoiling her dog, cooking, trying new foods and restaurants, and doing crafts. She is passionate about her work and loves making a positive difference in the lives of others.
If you’re looking for a compassionate, experienced social worker who understands the challenges of personal and academic growth, Dana is here to help.
