Micaela Minano-Rodriguez
Micaela Minano-Rodriguez is an LCSW specializing in creating an empathetic space for clients to be their most vulnerable selves. Micaela graduated with a master’s degree in clinical social work from Fordham University in 2012. In addition to her work with SMPsychotherapy, she works as a bilingual clinician at Family and Children’s Aid.Â
Ten years of experience working with children and families has given Micaela a deep appreciation for the burden so many women carry. She hopes to work with SMPsychotherapy clients to encourage women to build fulfilling lives by improving self-esteem, independence, and overall well being.Â
Micaela specializes in working with clients suffering from depression, anxiety, and Post Traumatic Stress Disorder (PTSD), as well as other mental health issues. She can help you navigate relationship issues, including domestic violence, life transitions, and trauma, so you can build the life you deserve.Â
Micaela uses cognitive behavioral therapy, strength-based, and person-centered therapy strategies. She is a TF-CBT certified clinician with extensive experience in trauma therapy. Micaela enjoys working with diverse populations and, as an immigrant, herself is well-versed in the difficulties of adjusting to a new country. She offers services in English and Spanish.
