At SMPsychotherapy &amp; Counseling Services, one of her primary areas of focus is <strong>EMDR therapy (Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing)<\/strong> for adults experiencing trauma, PTSD, anxiety, distressing memories, and emotional responses connected to difficult or overwhelming experiences.<\/p><p>Sometimes the mind knows an experience is over, yet the body and emotions continue responding as though it is still happening. Through EMDR, Stephanie helps clients safely explore and process experiences that may continue to influence their thoughts, emotions, reactions, and everyday lives. Her trauma-focused approach is thoughtful and paced around the individual\u2014because healing should never feel like a race.<\/p><p>That philosophy fits Stephanie naturally. Outside of her clinical work, she enjoys reading, running, horseback riding, and spending time with her family. As a trained meditation instructor and Reiki practitioner, she also brings a broader appreciation for mindfulness, self-awareness, and the connection between emotional and physical well-being to her understanding of the whole person.<\/p><p>Stephanie works with young adults, adults, veterans, and older adults across different seasons of life.
