I worked in the mental health field for several years, I enjoy working with children, adolescents, young adults, adult individuals, families & couples. I specialize in parent education training, early childhood education, home therapy, bilingual Spanish speaking outpatient therapy, crisis management and behavior modification.
I am passionate about helping those individuals diagnosed with bipolar disorder, depression, anxiety, substance use, autism and schizophrenia as well as those individuals that are experiencing grief & loss and trauma.
I have taken time to learn ways of how to help families who are struggling with a variety of difficulties and hardships. I also take special interest in assisting families with parenting skills and children with challenging behaviors. One of my goals has been to adapt and utilize different treatment methods that could be based on the client’s needs. I strive to establish a safe, supportive and respectful environment in which people can grow and change.
What I love the most about being a therapist is having the opportunity to lend a helping hand, be available to listen, and to have an open heart to understand each person’s uniqueness regardless of age, gender and race. I am passionate about empowerment; this is done by helping others to become stronger and more confident, especially when it involves controlling and claiming their lives and rights.
Looking forward serving you!
